GROUP PROFILE

Welcome to the website of the Official Arizona Rangers UK, the original and only Arizona Rangers Living History and Re-Enactment Team authorised and recognised within the UK.

Formed in 1999, we take our name from an original law enforcement body that existed in the State of Arizona from 1901 to 1909, which gives us a factual foundation upon which we base ourselves. We are a non profit organisation dedicated to promoting the memory of the Arizona Rangers and the lore of the Old West, one of our main aims being, by our displays and living history tableau's, to entertain and educate people about this part of American Frontier history.

Weapons and dress vary from member to member dependant upon personal preference and all members that require them hold current Firearms and Shotgun licences where required in UK Law. Between us all as members we also have a collection of original and period weapons and artefacts for hands on display purposes, and use, within a variety of living history camps that includes as well as a Rangers patrol camp; a Round Up camp complete with Chuckwagon; A settlers camp; and an Indian Wars period Cavalry Officers tent and Cavalry camp representing the 7th and 9th Cavalry Regiments, all of which are reproduced as faithfully and as accurately as possible using original and reproduction artefacts in order to present a fully authentic display.
As a responsible group we also carry Ł5 million group and individual Public Liability Insurance and have qualified First Aiders and trained Health and Safety Officers.

	Over the years we have appeared at venues all over the UK, performing and displaying for charitable causes while at the same time gaining a reputation for realism, accuracy and authenticity in our displays. We have featured on national Television appearing on the 'Richard Whitely Show' and 'Tonight' Show for Yorkshire television; 'Look North', 'Watchdog' and 'Arena' programs for the BBC and our more recent credits include Living History displays for the Royal Armouries and EventPlan multi period events.
The Official Arizona Rangers recreate the mystery and fascination of the Old West with their authentic dress, saddles camps and weapons, and whether performing a show or presenting a living history tableau .. the Official Arizona Rangers know how to make your event a memorable one. The name is registered within the UK, all materials including badges are copyrighted and legal action will be pursued against anyone attempting to pass themselves of as an Arizona Rangers or Az Rangers group of any kind or anyone attempting to use the name.

NOTE;
Please be aware and advised of unauthentic, false and spurious Arizona Rangers or Az Rangers groups using the name within the UK, who have nothing to do with the Official Arizona Rangers UK and have no authority or support in their use of the name.

We apologise for the necessity of this but after a failed attempt at a hostile take over of the official group within the UK, legal action was taken by those concerned which culminated in their case being dismissed as they refused to obey a court order to name their Officers, and could not demonstrate an authority to operate. These facts are a matter of public record in the files in the Preston County Court.
